Using Tags
Organize your thoughts with colorful, reusable tags.
Adding Tags
You can add tags to any dump, task, or note to keep them organized. Tags are color-coded automatically based on their name, making it easy to spot related items at a glance.
How to tag:
- Click the # Tags button in the input bar
- Type a new tag name or select an existing one
- Press Enter to add the tag
Tag Management
Tags are reusable across all your content. When you type in the tag selector, Brain Dump automatically suggests existing tags to help you stay consistent.
- Create: Just type a new name and hit enter.
- Search: Start typing to filter your existing tags.
- Remove: Click the 'x' on a selected tag to remove it.
Visual Organization
Each tag gets a deterministic color generated from its name. This means the tag "#project" will always be the same color, no matter where you use it, helping your brain build visual associations quickly.
